6 Find a Partner

10 MUST DO Cheap Marketing TIPS for Canadian Salon Owners.

6. Partner Advertising
If you are sending direct or unaddressed flyers, get another business to partner with you and you both share the flyer- one ad on each side.  This is an amazing cost savings to both  businesses. Such an arrangement will enable you both to undertake more advertising because your cost would be cut in half.

Suggestion: Discuss this marketing strategy with the business you chose to partner with – refer to tips 3 & 4.  Show your partner the benefit of this alliance – You can use this approach not only for flyers but for newsprint ads as well, get a bigger size ad instead and share the cost equally.

Word of caution: Never mention to your partner that her or she will get the “back” of the flyer.  This will immediately turn off any prospective partner – this flyer has no “back or front”, both sides are equally important and that fact must be communicated to your prospective partner. I cannot stress this enough.  If your prospective partner does not feel that he or she is getting equal billing in your ad, there will no interest in your proposal.  Do it right and it works like a charm.
